Every part of you is important.

What is Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)?

The practice of looking inward to identify and heal wounded parts of yourself.

The Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach views the mind as a collection of distinct parts or subpersonalities. These parts, often formed from past traumas, play various roles to manage and shield you from pain. IFS operates on the belief that no part is inherently bad; each part has developed to help you survive and cope with past experiences.

The goal of IFS therapy is to connect with your core Self—characterized by confidence, compassion, and wholeness. By accessing this central Self, you can heal and integrate the different parts of your psyche, promoting personal growth and overall well-being.

Are you ready to witness, love and heal all the parts of you?

How IFS therapy works

You can learn to interact with yourself with love and compassion .

We all have different parts within us, shaped by our experiences of pain and trauma. While we naturally experience these parts daily, we often lack the deeper understanding and language to identify them until we begin this journey. By exploring and understanding your inner world, you can achieve profound healing and transformation. The changes made through parts work will start to manifest organically in your daily life—transformation within leads to transformation without.

A crucial first step in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is to connect with your authentic Self, which can be understood as your inner wisdom, highest self, or the Divine within. We’ll begin this process through conversation and guided meditation in our sessions. From there, I will guide you inward to explore parts of yourself that may be stuck in trauma, pain, old stories, or roles. Together, we will witness these parts, understand their roles, and offer them love and compassion.

We then help these parts release their burdens by clearing what has been held within your body and energy system. This process allows them to find peace, integrate more fully into your authentic self, and contribute to your overall sense of well-being.

You don’t need to know which parts need attention beforehand. We will explore this together in therapy.
